The Sheikh Ali Story

The history of Sheikh Ali Dahab Resort is the history of Dahab. The hotel portrays the progress of a unique holiday spot through to the first all-suite hotel in the Sinai.

Sheikh Ali Dahab Resort is named after the owner's father, Sheikh Ali. Sheikh Ali founded the very first Bedouin camp in Dahab in the 80's and welcomed early visitors to Dahab with his Rababah music and coffee made on an open fire. The camp was later developed into one of the first hotels in town, Nesima Resort.

When Sheikh Ali's son Gabaly further developed the accommodation offer in Dahab, he built Sinai's first all-suite hotel. Although development and progress are well grounded values within the family, they also appreciate their roots. It was therefore only natural to dedicate the new hotel to Sheikh Ali himself and build the hotel on the grounds of Sheikh Ali's original palm tree garden in Mashraba.

Today, Dahab's original tourism family offers you a super comfortable standard of accommodation in light and airy pool-side suites at Sheikh Ali Dahab Resort. The hotel is an anthem to the history of Dahab and to Sheikh Ali, the man who started it all.
